Lenny Bruce - The Palladium

So i’ve been listening to Lenny Bruce for some time now, attempting to find something of his that i like, as i know comedy wouldn’t be what it is today without him, and i finally had an epiphany.

I was listening to a record of his that i bought on a whim, The Real Lenny Bruce and it was fucking hysterical. It took me a while to get his style but it was completely worth it. I wasn’t fully engaging/listening to his material, as he mumbles and rants a lot in his skits, and with the recording quality back in the day you have to REALLY listen.

i have to say he is a genius, and is rightfully in the “holy trinity” of comedy.

used to be? i remember when i started out on tumblr, sorting through all the shit. i remember at ISU i spent a few days contemplating stopping, because of the the douches on here, who are either 12 years old or worse than the people still on myspace. it took me months to sort through all the garbage, to find great blogs and decent people, and its a never ending battle, as i still get annoyed by people
